Mexican Casserole

A reminder of the beautiful weather of Riviera Maya, and this in a beautiful Wednesday evening dish!

The cold weather in Quebec often pushes us to take a little trip to the south every year, which is why we wanted to remind you of this beautiful temperature in Riviera Maya, and in a beautiful Wednesday evening dish!


Ingredients :

  • 500 ml of black beans
  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 diced tomatoes
  • 100g grated marbled cheese
  • 1 avocado, cut into quarters
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 lime, cut into quarters (optional)
  • 200 ml of corn
  • Sour cream (desired amount)
  • 2 tbsp. of “Les Mélangés” Spicy Spices

Preparation

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil, add the onions, garlic, ground beef and “Les Mélangés” Hot Spices, and sear until the beef turns brown.
  2. Add the black beans, corn, and lime juice and continue cooking for a few minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. Place the entire contents of the pan into a baking dish.
  4. Place the cheese all over the dish.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown. Remove from the oven.
  6. Scatter the tomatoes, avocados, lime wedges, and sour cream to taste.
  7. Serve on a plate with Tostitos-style chips (optional).
  8. Wow.
